The Brief

We were asked by Behrens Sharp Chartered Surveyors to replace their existing Flash-based website with a new website which would enable full content updatability, both for website copy, and for the properties available through the company.

Due to the Flash-based nature of their old website, only properties could be updated previously.

The Response

The new website was developed using MODX Content Management System. A number of automated features were put in place to ensure a one step was required to populate multiple website property categories. This was made possible by the remarkable flexibility inherent in MODx.

These included the insertion of one image which would work across four requirements, including three different property thumbnails, and also the property gallery image. The property galleries were implemented using LightBox2 Javascript image overlay system.

The addition of a single property address was also applied to multiple website elements, ranging from A-Z list, to gallery descriptions.
